Nora ​Nashawaty

Community Driven, Future Focused.

My name is Nora, and I’ve been part of ​this community for almost 20 years. I ​love our pocket of the Twin Cities and I ​will work with you to make it thrive an​d expand to support the needs of our co​mmunity.

Meet Nora

My life’s goal is to leave this world better by serving ​people, both in my career and in my communities.

I work as a cancer genetic counselor, helping families ​understand and face their risks for cancer head on, and ​helping patients make decisions about their cancer care.

I’ve served on local and national organizations in youth ​leadership development, human rights advocacy, refugee ​support, and healthcare accessibility.

I graduated from Minnetonka High School in 2011, ​University of Minnesota in 2015 with a Bachelors of ​Science in Genetics and Minor In Leadership & ​Organizational Development, and Northwestern University ​with a Masters of Science in Genetic Counseling in 2018. ​Like most Minnesotans, I came back to my home state.
